Double Room
Hotel Vestmannaeyjar has thirty 22 m² comfortable standard rooms with ensuite bathrooms. The rooms are handicap accessible. Each room is beautifully decorated Breakfast buffet is included. All our rooms are non-smoking. The price of the room includes the SPA access.
Single Room
Hotel Vestmannaeyjar has twelve 15 m² comfortable standard rooms with ensuite bathrooms. Breakfast buffet is included. All our rooms are non-smoking. The price of the room includes the SPA access.
Deluxe Double Room
Hotel Vestmannaeyjar has one Deluxe room. The room is 30 m2 and it is beautifully decorated. There is a nice view from the room to the mountains Helgafell and Eldfell. Breakfast buffet is included. The price of the room includes the SPA access.
Ocean Villas
Our self-catering Ocean Villas are located in Búhamar, on the west side of the main island Heimaey, where you get one of the best views over the Westman Islands. We want you to enjoy the view to the fullest and that is why our villas have large windows facing west.
Pier Apartments
Our self-catering Pier Apartments are well organized and fully furnished apartments in the heart of the small town of Westman Islands. Formerly a banquet hall, we divided it into two 150 square meter apartments where families can come together and experience the islands from the best place in town.
The New Post Office
All our apartments are all fully furnished with a private bathroom, kitchen and balcony. The size is 28 to 38 square meters, either a studio apartment or an apartment with one bedroom and living room. You have access to storage, for example for your bike or your golf set. A shared general space on the ground floor has a lounge, ice machine, the largest sundeck on the island, bathrooms and more where you can get together, meet the other guests and relax.
Spa
The SPA, a wellness center at Hotel Vestmannaeyjar offers two hot tubs and a sauna. The area also has showers and a cozy relaxation area. The wellness center is available for guests staying at the hotel. A perfect place to wind down and relax those muscles after a long day of sightseeing. A body massage is available upon request in the wellness area.
Puffin
The Atlantic Puffin (Fratercula arctica), is a species of seabird in the auk family (Alcidea), he is one of the smaller auks, and also the most common. The puffin is most commonly found around the coast of Iceland, around sixty percent of the population breeds in Iceland.
Eldheimar – Volcano Museum
The eruption in Vestmannaeyjar started in the early hours of January 23rd, 1973. News of the eruption, that permanently would change the island, traveled fast around the world and when it finally finished, reporters, tourist and scientists from all over the world flocked to Heimaey to see with their own eyes how powerful nature can be. Lava and ash covered 2,5 km2, about 20%, of the island, and a new volcano, Eldfell, had risen 220m tall and Heimaey was now 2 km2 bigger than before.
Now 40 years later Eldheimar open, a museum of remembrance, giving visitors the chance to go back in time and learn about this dramatic event.
